K A L I
Name;; Kali
Age;; 4 years
Gender;; mare
Breed;; welsh section C
Height;; 12.3
Appearance;; Kali is built solid and small. Unlike most horses she is built wide with light feathering around her hooves even though she is not a draft. Both her mane and tail are heavy and long to blaze out behind her at a run. A white blaze goes down her face and covers both nostrils while curling over at the top. Both right legs have socks on them while her left legs are pure black. She has gentle brown eyes and a kind nicker for those nearby. A few scars on her legs are from barbed wire as a foal, but nothing to major.
Physical Strength;; Strong in the legs with muscle and a level head on her shoulders. She is correct in her legs and shoulder with a short back that would pass to her foals in correctness. Her pasterns are not to short and strong as well.
Physical Weakness;; The main thing that keeps this mare back is her size, it makes it harder for her to run from danger.
Personality;; Quite the morning mare is what she can be called. Always up before the sun, unless sick, she loves to welcome the sun and the new day. Although the female tries to always see the best in others, at times it gets to be too much and she just snaps at them and makes them back off. Her instinct of motherhood is strong, but at times too strong. She sometimes gets moody to the point of others just walking away cause she wouldn't snap out of it. Her brown eyes show all her emotion all the time, loving, caring, and worry if another is sick or hurting. She is not one to be easily wooed, she wants proof of love, not words. That is why she doesn't speak to much with others, they are useless unless you can back them up.
Likes;; She loves foals first off and running in the morning. The mare also likes to be needed for something, doing nothing will make her bored quickly. Storms depress the mare so she loves the bright and sunny weather. Sunsets and sunrises are also high on her enjoyable list as well as not being taken for granted in a group.
Dislikes;; Nasty and foul mouthed stallions are a big no for her and she will snap and leave right there. Bad first impressions stick with her for quite awhile if not forever. She hates being bossed around all the time, but does know her place in a herd. Wolves and being lost are other things that scare the mare.
Fears;; The loss of having a reason to live on.
Parents;; Morold and Seekaw
Siblings;; she has one older sibling, but does not know his name.
History;; She was born on a small ranch with a few other welsh ponies. Kali was being raised to be a cart pony and did pretty good, loving the work in the morning until her owner fell ill and was unable to care for the ponies. They were put out to pasture and that was it, the neighbor was paid to check on them and make sure they all had water. That was when she started to run the fence in the morning to do something. Somehow she managed to remain alone for awhile, but a stallion caught up to her when she was almost three and bred her. Most of the mares were due when winter rolled around, but Kali still pounded the dirt. One day she found the fence down after a storm and leaped it, running into the wild to live free and not have to worry about stupid things. The foal was born dead and now she has been free for a few months.
