Ailbhe[/center]
Name;; Ailbhe (Al-vah)
Age;; 2
Gender;; Female
Breed;; Arctic Wolf
Appearance;; The first thing one will notice about Alyssa is her slender body and unusually long legs, which give her great speed and nimbleness. She walks gracefully, her back paws in line with her front ones and head in the air. Her silky white fur, thick in winter and thin in the summer, is smooth with a patch of dark grey on her back, which continues down her tail, ending in a black colour at the tip. The sides of the grey fade into her white fur, before disappearing altogether. Her rear left leg has a black 'stocking' and her front right paw is black, unusual for a breed that is common in snowy areas.
Her head is sleek and her muzzle is long and thin, giving a delicate look to this wolf. More grey, so light that it is barely noticeable, travels up her muzzle from her nose, before disappearing into the white of her fur. Her eyes are icy blue, and seem to cut right into one, sometimes filled with kindness, but other times filled with a sharpness that hits one like the icy wind on barren tundra. Her ears, slightly pointed at the top, stand erect and can pick up even the smallest of sounds, commonplace in most canines. They have a tuft of fur at the top, seeming to split the tip in half, and are tipped with a black colour.
Her sleek, aerodynamic body provides her with great speed and nimbleness, allowing her to easily catch up with her prey and maneuver around obstacles. However, a lightweight frame lends her little strength and below average stamina, meaning that smaller prey such as rabbits and birds are all she can manage to catch on a solo hunt.
Physical Strength;; Great Speed and Flexibility
Physical Weakness;; Little Strength and Stamina
Personality;; Alyssa prefers to keep her past to herself, buiding a wall around her innermost thoughts and feelings. She seems to often be lost in thought, and looks to the stars, not the moon, to guide her.
She is a very kind-hearted young wolf who has a deep love for nature and all living things. Especially pups.
She is intelligent and wise, knowing about the different prey, predators, and even plants of the land.
She is strong-willed and determined and never gives up on something no matter how hopeless the situation may seem. She readily takes advice from others who she trusts.
She is normally a peaceful wolf, and is timid and wary of strnagers. She won't trust anyone until they have earned her trust or she has gotten to know them a little better.
She doesn't like to fight, but will fight fiercely if someone she cares about is in danger. She uses her intelligence to aid her during her rare fights, figuring out their weaknesses in order to determine the best way to attack. She uses her intelligence to hunt as well, studying her target in order to pick out any signs of weakness.
She has never met a horse before, so she doesn't know what to think of them.
Likes;; Running; Rain; Thunderstorms; Pups; The Snow; Quiet, peaceful nights
Dislikes;; Not being able to help someone; Fighting or Killing without a reason; Those who talk too much; Extremely hot weather; Rats

History;; Ailbhe was born to a lone female wolf, who had spent most of her life wandering through the lands. The fae was a nervous wreck, twitching at the slightest sound and constantly looking over her shoulder. But she was a wise wolf, for she had seen many winters come and go and she had travelled far and wide. She passed her stories onto her daughter, the only surviving pup in a small litter. She taught Ailbhe many things, about the creatures, plants and stories of the land and about the spirits of the dead.
But Ailbhe's time with her mother was short and, when she was 7 months old, her mother passed away. This left Ailbhe alone and frightened with no idea about how to hunt or fend for herself. For as wise as her mother had been, she did not think to teach Ailbhe these most important life lessons. She nearly starved to death, wandering alone and tryong to live on grasses and herbs.
Fortunately, it seemed at the time, a young male, who was the alpha of a small pack, found her and took her in to his family. There she learned to hunt, her speed made her able to catch prey easily and her agileness enabled her to weave her way through the trees. But her lack of strength hindered her and she was only able to kill small prey such as rabbits and birds.
At first, she was grateful to the pack for looking after her, and even started to love them. But as she grew, she began to see the hatred and resent for her in their eyes. Although she knew that the pack members did not want her she adored the pups, knowing that their love for her was true and spent most of her time looking after them. They were the only reason she stayed with the pack. But soon she realized that it was not hatred in the eyes of the alpha, but a sinister darkness and she realized his intentions for her, whether she permitted it or not, and fled from the pack.
They gave chase, pursuing her everywhere she went, night and day, unrelentlessly. She soon neared exhaustion and realized that she had to face them now, or be hunted by them for the rest of her life. Unsurprisingly, it was only the alpha who confronted her on the dark, stormy night. The rain beat against her and the wind blew fircely through her fur. The alpha stood, tail raised, facing her, showing his dominance.
"The others were glad to see the back of you, but I, I want you. You must be mine." A sinister grin spread across his face and an evil showed through which still haunts Ailbhe to this day.
Upon her refusal, the alpha snarled, baring his formidable fangs.
"Then, if you shall not come with me, I shall simply take my rage out on those defenseless pups that you love so much."
The glint in his eyes told Ailbhe that he was speaking truthfully and as he turned to walk away, she shouted after him. About to submit and agree to come with him, she saw more in his eyes than just what he had said. There was a deeper truth, a rage that would still be unleashed upon the pups, whether she went with him or not.
A low growl emerged from deep within Ailbhe, startling even herself, and, without warning she leapt at the larger wolf. She didn't care that he was stronger than her, she just wanted to hurt him, to do to him what she now knew he had done to so many before. And when it was over she fell to the ground next to the lifeless body of the wolf and fell unconcious in the rain.
When she finally awoke, she decided not to go back to the pack, feeling that they would still reject her. She travelled on alone, finding safe places to rest at night. One time she was so exhausted that she wandered into a cave to rest without checking to see if it was safe first. She lay down near the entrance and went to sleep. But she was soon awoken by a bear, who lived in the cave. She tried to defend herself, but it was far too powerful for her and she had no choice but to run deeper into the cave as the bear was blocking the entrance.
Luckily for her, the cave was deep and she managed to squeeze through where the bear wouldn't be able to. The cave was pitch black and she felt like she was being closed in, so she panicked and ran through the maze-like tunnels. She disturbed some bats in her panic and they flew around her, screeching and scaring her even more, but they soon gave up and left her alone. As she was beginning to give up hope, the familiar scent of the outside reached her nostrils and she rushed toward it. Finally she was out of the dark cave, but ever since, she has had a fear of caves and prefers to sleep out in the open, even if it's raining.
She journeyed on, being careful to avoid venturing into underground places. She seen many sights as she travelled, but one day when she was crossing a particularly fast river, she fell in and was swept over the edge of a small waterfall. She nearly drowned and never even goes near fast-flowing rivers or waterfalls for fear that she will fall in and drown.
Since then, Ailbhe has had no real purpose in life, she travels wherever she wants, much like her mother before her. But with Ailbhe, there is no nervous flinching, no paranoid looking over the her shoulder. Ailbhe travels forward, always forward, never looking back and leaving her past behind her.
